HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (HCSTSI) President Muhammad Akram Ansari while lamenting the performance of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) said that WASA has failed to discharge its responsibility of facilitating the citizens of Hyderabad.
In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that smooth functioning of water supply and sewerage system are the prime responsibility of WASA but the organisation had completely failed to maintain both the system amicably resulting acute shortage of water for drinking purpose and daily usage as well as accumulation of sewage water on roads and streets of Hyderabad City, Latifabad and Qasimabad for several days.
He demanded the Sindh chief minister, Sindh local government minister, Hyderabad mayor, HAD managing director and Hyderabad’s Cantonment Board chief executive officer to take notice over such issues which are forcing the citizens to come on roads. These issues should be solved at the earliest so that the citizens of Hyderabad could take a sigh of relief, he added.
