ISLAMABAD: The Director General (SA & SAARC), Dr. Mohammad Faisal, has called upon the Indian deputy High Commissioner, J.P. Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces in Chirikot and Hot Spring Sectors on 10 and 12 June, 2017 respectively.
The attacks resulted in the killing of a civilian, Shabbir Khan, 70 years of age and a resident of Polas Village in Chirikot Sector.
Two others i.e. Waqar Younas (18) resident of Bhabra Village, Asad Ali (19) resident of Bhabra Village in Hot Spring Sector and injuries to three in Hot Spring Sector including M. Shahbaz (30), resident of Bhabra Village, Shumaila Khurshid resident of Chakrali Village and Hafsa Shabbir (14) resident of Chakrali Village.
The Director-General urged the Indian side to abide by the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement, investigate ceasefire violation incidents, instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC.
