KARACHI: Three criminals have been reportedly arrested by the law-enforcement agencies during a raid conducted in Salar Goth, Malir Saturday night, sources said.
According to sources, the detainees identified as Shehzad, Siraj and Arsalan belong to the Lyari gang war and were claimed to be hiding in their den in the area. The accused were moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation following arrest.
The criminals were wanted for their involvement in the attack on police, murders, kidnapping for ransom and extortion.
As per police reports, the accomplices of the accused have been killed in encounters with police and rangers.
Following the raid, women belonging to the families of arrested persons took to the streets in Malir City to protest, claiming that the accused were innocent.
