KP IG Salahuddin Khan here Friday sent a special letter to provincial government in the light of demands raised by the father of late Mashal Khan, a student lynched at Abdul Wali Khan University.
The father of late Mashal Khan during a press conference the other day had demanded of the provincial government to hire a private lawyer for pursuing his son’s case and transfer the case to a trial court in Peshawar.
The IGP in his letter to the provincial government said that on the request of father of Mashal Khan an experienced and professional team of lawyers could be hired officially for pursuing the case. It was further told in the letter that the case could be legally transferred to a Peshawar trial court over the request of father of Mashal Khan.
