ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the Sharif brothers are conspiring against the Joint Investigation Team to become political martyrs. However, he continued, “we will foil their plot”.
While speaking to media personnel on Friday in Islamabad, he alleged that Sharif brothers are behind the attack against him. He further said that National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq took notice of this matter and sought an explanation from Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi for issuing an entry pass to Malik Noor Awan.
Sheikh Rasheed warned that parliamentarians are not safe in the assembly and that the government has failed to take notice of the prevailing situation; in fact, the government is involved in pressurising and threatening their opponents, he said.
He stressed that the attacker did not have an entry pass for Parliament. He has filed adjournment motion in the office of National Assembly speaker and vowed to pursue the case against Sharif family.
