Leisure Leagues’ football matches involving the top footballers of the world will be held here at Model Town football ground (MFTA).
This was stated by Shahzeb Mehmood, Chief Executive Officer, World Group, after visiting MFTA here on Friday. Also present on the occasion were Mian Rizwan Ali, Former Pakistan Cricket Captain Amir Sohail and CEO Leisure League Ishaque Shah.
“We officially announce that the Leisure Leagues’ matches will be held at MFTA”, said Shahzeb. “Well known world class footballer Ronoldinho with friends from Brazil will be visiting Pakistan and will play two football matches at Karachi and Lahore”, he said. He hailed the efforts of Mian Rizwan Ali for promoting football, especially at the grass root level.
President MFTA Mian Rizwan said “We will be extending all out cooperation for making Leisure Leagues a great success in Lahore”. He said that leisure leagues football games will help in promoting football in the country.
“These matches will send a positive message to the world besides creating a soft image of our country which is safe to organise top class sports’ events”, he added.
Later Mian Rizwan Ali presented the visiting guests with souvenirs.
