20 detained in raids across Karachi city

Karachi: About 20 suspects were arrested during overnight raids conducted in various parts of Karachi city early Friday morning.

Additionally, five people were injured in a knife attack when a dispute between two groups at Korangi’s Bilal Colony erupted.

In a police operation carried out in PIB colony, a wanted criminal, Ghulam Kabeer was arrested and weapons were also recovered from him.

Two alleged street criminals were also taken into custody during a raid on Shahrah-e-Noor Jehan.

In an operation at Nazimabad’s Mujahid Colony, police arrested seven suspects. Contrabands, weapons and gambling equipment were also recovered from their possession.

A suspect, identified as Sajid, was arrested by Mochko police and weapons were recovered from him.

Two alleged street criminals, identified as Asif and Zeeshan, were detained during a police crackdown in Gulberg. Arms and a stolen motorcycle were seized from them.

Moreover, an Afghan national was arrested from Jauharabad.

Five absconding criminals were nabbed in Jackson, while two alleged thieves were arrested from Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Moreover, rangers arrested two suspects from Korangi. However, one suspect managed to escape. The suspects were wanted in numerous cases of robberies and were handed over to the police.
