ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Thursday continued to criticise the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that is probing the Sharif family’s global financial dealings.

PML-N leaders were gathered in large number outside the Federal Judicial Academy, as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s younger son Hassan Nawaz appeared before the Panama JIT after a change in schedule.

According to sources, security arrangements inside and outside the Federal Judicial Academy were beefed up to avoid any untoward situation whereas irrelevant people had also been barred from entering the venue.

Talking to the media, Asif Kirmani said the leaked photo of Hussain Nawaz is not of the waiting lounge, but of the interrogation room. He remarked that Hussain Nawaz had been humiliated by leaking the picture.

Asif Kirmani asked what was the purpose of calling the ambulance during the hearing? It was done to raise concerns of Hussain’s family, and the investigation team itself is spreading sensationalism, he added.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said highlighting its reservations does not mean that PML-N is creating any controversy. The Whatsapp matter was not started by us, he said.

Tariq Fazal demanded to stop the false accusations against the party and to address their concerns.
