A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and is likely to persist during the next 2-3 days, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Wednesday.
Dust thunderstorm and rain with gusty winds are expected in the next twenty-four hours at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, and at isolated places in D.G Khan, Sahiwal, Multan, Quetta, and Zhob divisions.
Hot and dry weather will persist across other parts of the country, the MET said.
Past weather: The weather remained very hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, dust thunderstorm and rain with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan divisions & Kashmir and at isolated places in Hazara, Kohat, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
