Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has paid rich tributes to the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif over the expeditious development of Lahore and other districts of the province. He said that he Shehbaz Sharif is worthy of praise as he has been taking keen interest in the development of the province of Punjab and has worked hard over the last 9 years.
While addressing the gathering of senior workers of the PML-N in the Walled City today, the prime minister said that Shehbaz Sharif has completed the development projects with commitment and passion and has supervised the development schemes with diligence. That is why, he added, beautiful scenes and great examples of development works are seen all around in Punjab. He said that he was the chief minister of Punjab in 1995 and did great work for the development and prosperity of the province then; adding that now, Shehbaz Sharif is promoting his mission.
The prime minister said that there is no doubt that the credit of the development of the province goes to the chief minister. He said that exemplary work has been done to complete the development projects in record period of time, under the supervision of the Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Earlier, the projects which remained incomplete even after the passage of five years are now being completed in a period of hardly two years. He added that he commends Shehbaz Sharif for completing the projects in a record period of time.
The prime minister further said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project will be a revolution in the transport sector of Punjab. This is the best service of Shehbaz Sharif, he said, for the indigent strata. As metro bus has benefitted the low-income families, similarly, the Orange Line Metro Train project will also do well for the poor people of the city. He said that after the success of the metro bus project in Lahore, metro bus service is successfully performing its operations in Rawalpindi-Islamabad and Multan, as well and told that the metro bus service will also be extended to other districts of the province.
On the demands of the workers, the prime minister announced to construct the overhead bridge or underpass at Ik Moria and Do Moria Pull and said that Shehbaz Sharif will execute this project. Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that any signal from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is like an order for him.
