Nisar to visit Peshawar, to meet PML-N workers

  • ‘FATA merger decision to take logical conclusion’

Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said that reforms and decision regarding the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was an achievement of present government and it would be taken to its logical conclusion.

He was talking to Prime Minister’s Adviser Ameer Muqam, who called on him here. Nisar said that maintenance of law and order in Pakhtunkhwa and socio-economic development of the people were among the foremost priorities of the government.

He said that efforts and role of the federal government for the past four years towards the security of the province, political stability and development was a clear manifestation that journey to development can only be ensured through practical steps and not through mere slogans and claims.

The two leaders discussed the overall situation, especially the politics in Pakhtunkhwa, development projects in the province and FATA reforms. Nisar underlined the need for the proactive role of party workers towards highlighting and resolution of real issues of people.

The minister said that he would visit Peshawar in the next few days and future strategy would be formulated in consultation with the party leadership.
