Bilawal lashes out at PML-N over excessive load shedding

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari lashed out at Nawaz Sharif and his ministers for calling the masses thieves and depriving them of electricity amid a sizzling heatwave in the holy month of Ramzan.

The PPP chairman was addressing the party leaders and workers at an Iftar dinner hosted by the Sindh PPP at the Chief Minister House on Saturday.

Sindh PPP President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, ministers, senators, MNAs, MPAs and party office-bearers from all the districts of the province attended the dinner.

Bilawal, while addressing the party leaders, said that people of Pakistan are being tormented through excessive load shedding and those protesting against it are being labelled as thieves just to hide PML-N government’s own failure in generating sufficient electricity.

“Load-shedding is in the entire country not just in the corners of the country and protests are also being held around the country,” he added.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pointed out that there was no electricity in Sindh but Takht-e-Raiwind is being supplied uninterrupted supply with zero load-shedding.

The PPP Chairman pledged that his party will end the load-shedding once for all after coming into power in the next general elections as it has envisaged huge plans to meet the power needs of Pakistan for several future decades.
