Four people have been detained for violating Ramzan Ordinance in the area of Peer Wadhai.
Under this ordinance, people are banned to eat or smoke at public places during fasting timings in Ramzan. Hotels or restaurants are also not allowed to serve lunch during fasting hours.
According to police, during it’s patrolling in different areas of Rawalpindi, a shopkeeper was found serving lunch to four persons. Police have detained all four people and registered a case against them under Ramzan Ordinance.
Three month imprisonment with fine of Rs 500 each can be awarded to these violators under this ordinance.
