Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Friday said the federal government was taking measures to bring Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) at par with developed areas.
Talking to MNA from South Waziristan Agency Ghalib Khan who called on him here at Governor House, he said that billions of rupees’ development projects in health, education, agriculture sectors and provision of drinking water were in process in FATA.
He assured the FATA legislator that completion of these projects would usher a new era of prosperity and development in FATA, adding that peace was imperative in tribal areas for development.
Earlier, MNA Ghalib Khan apprised the governor about the problems being faced by FATA people and also suggested measures in this regard. The governor welcomed the suggestions and assured prompt measures for resolution of the problems in FATA.
