Steps being taken for early recovery of abducted Chinese couple, says Balochistan CM

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri says measures are being taken for early recovery of the abducted Chinese couple.

Addressing a press conference in Quetta, he said law and order situation is better in the province due to operation taken by the law enforcement agencies.

Sardar Shair Jan Muhammad Hassani and Mir Haider Muhammad Hassani on the occasion announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-N by expressing confidence in the leadership of Sardar Zehri, who, they said, is working for development in the province.

The couple who were Chinese nationals were kidnapped while they were eating food at a local eatery on Wednesday afternoon. Husband, Li Zang Hing and wife, Ming Leassi Ha, were working at a Korean cultural centre near Jinnah Town and had been teaching Korean language to locals for more than a year.

The Jinnah Town police registered a case against the kidnapping of two foreign nationals who were abducted from Quetta’s Jinnah Town the other day.The case includes charges of kidnapping and terrorism.

In addition, a three-member investigation team under the leadership of DIG Counter-Terrorism Department has been constituted to investigate the case, Balochistan Inspector General of Police Ahsan Mehboob has stated.The team includes SSP Investigation and SP Saddar.

Police are collaborating with other law enforcement agencies for the safe recovery of the kidnapped Chinese nationals, the province’s top cop remarked.
