MNAs laud CM for hard work

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif recited the Holy Quran at the start of the meeting with the members of the parliament belonging to Gujranwala Division, here today.

The members of the Parliament from Gujranwala Division paid tribute to the chief minister for launching programmes of public welfare, completion of energy projects, construction of roads in rural areas, along with building a flyover in Gujranwala. They added that Shehbaz Sharif has earned a name in Pakistan and in other countries due to his hard work. They also congratulated the chief minister for the completion of 1320 megawatt Sahiwal Coal Power Project in a record period of time. They said that the construction of carpeted roads in rural areas was not thought of by the preceding governments.

The chief minister spoke on the occasion and said that Chinese companies wanted to complete the Sahiwal Coal Power Project in March 2018, but upon his insistence, they agreed to make this project functioning on December 25, 2017.

The meeting which lasted four hours, discussed, in detail, the different development projects and budgetary priorities of the government for the next financial year.
