BADIN: The assistant mukhtiarkar was assaulted by the tapedar in Badin when the former refused to issue a fake sale certificate of the land to the latter.
According to a report, influential Tapedar Noor Nabi Bhurgari had brutally beaten in charge Assistant Mukhtiarkar Abdul Ghafoor Khatti on Wednesday.
The sources also apprised that the Badin’s deputy commissioner, after taking notice of the confrontation between the tapedar and assistant mukhtiarkar, has suspended both of them and has also ordered a detailed inquiry into the matter.
The sources alleged that the tapedar is also involved in corrupt practices, including falsifying documents of landowners and property owners.
A property owner Abdul Aziz Soomro, while complaining, alleged that the mentioned tapedar also demands bribes, adding that his property falls under Badin jurisdiction but has been illegally placed in some other jurisdiction, while the case is still pending at the court, by the same tapedar.
According to sources, the tapedar is also advising the property owners to settle their issues without getting the Badin additional deputy commissioner involved.
Many sources have accused the tapedar of falsifying their lands’ documents, particularly, by changing the ownerships of their land.
It was also brought into knowledge that some representatives of the Badin’s Revenue Itehad were also trying to protect the accused tapedar and wish to settle the matter out of the courts.
