US decreases visas for Pakistanis by 40%, increases visas for Indians by 28%

WASHINGTON: Although Pakistan is not on the list of the United States President’s travel ban countries, 40 percent visas for its nationals have been cut down by America, while India will enjoy  28 percent increase in visas.

According to a British newspaper, a significant drop has been witnessed in the number of non-immigrant visas for Pakistanis after the executive order issued by US President Donald Trump regarding the foreigners.

3925 visas to Pakistanis were issued in April, and 3,973 were issued in March. The figures show 40 percent decline when compared to visas issued in the reign of Former President Barack Obama. 78,637 visas were issued to Pakistanis in 2016.
