Hussain Nawaz’s sugar level drops while being questioned by JIT

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz appeared before the joint investigation team (JIT) on Tuesday for the second time in relation to the Panama Papers probe.
However, nearly two hours after he reached the Judicial Academy, an ambulance was dispatched to the academy where Hussain Nawaz was given medical treatment after his sugar level dropped while he was being questioned by the JIT, according to reports.

He was accompanied by senior lawyers and party leaders. The JIT has also ordered incumbent chief operating officer of the National Bank of Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed, to appear and record his statement.

Nawaz made his first appearance on Tuesday and was interoggated  for 90 minutes.

Yesterday, a three-member bench of Supreme Court dismissed his petition against two of the JIT members.

The PM’s son had objected to the inclusion of two members — Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s Bilal Rasool and State Bank of Pakistan’s Amer Aziz — accusing them of being close to the PML-N’s political rivals.
