Ayub Medical Complex doctors’ strike continues for seventh day

ABBOTTABAD: The strike called by doctors at Ayub Medical Complex (AMC)  has entered the seventh consecutive day on Monday despite the death of as many as 76 patients in past six days. However, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken no notice of the strike which has caused the loss of so many lives. Medical wards, operation theatres (OTs) and out-patient departments (OPDs), all are closed due to the ongoing strike.

Patients, especially those coming from distant places of Abbottabad, are facing difficulties due to the strike.According to hospital management, 76 patients have died in last six days, but doctors have said that their protest will continue until the elimination of corrupt board of governors and management.
