LAHORE: Lahore Bar Association (LBA) is likely to install four transformers at district courts in order to improve the abysmal state of electricity in the courtrooms.

Many of the air conditioners at civil courts, LDA Plaza and cooperative building remain in an unfunctional state leading to stuffiness in the courtrooms.

In this regard, the representatives of LBA had already held meetings with district and session judge Abid Hussain Qureshi as well as with LESCO top officers.

The representatives further stated that several judges had complained about the stuffiness caused due to low voltage electricity.

Finally, it was decided that the district courts will be equipped with four transformers to deal with electricity shortage.

Talking to a local media outlet, LBA secretary Farhan Mustafa Jafri stated that the transformers are expected to be installed within a few days.
