Dr Ashok Thama, Punal Sario, Saleem Jarwar, Amjad Ali Palijo and others, while addressing a large number of protesters, deplored that missing persons were not related with any nationalist groups and are employees of different Sindh government departments, adding that they also feared for the lives of the missing persons.

They lamented that despite their protests and humble appeals no significant efforts were made.

They appealed to the chief of army staff, chief justice, prime minister, interior minister, and provincial authorities to take the immediate notice of disappearances of their relatives and they demanded all those taken away must be released, and if they were involved in any ill activities against the country than forces must produce them in the courts.

The missing persons’ relatives have also filed an appeal in the Sindh High Court for forced disappearance of the peaceful citizen and hearing was fixed on June 13.
