Rs 535 million for Defence Division for financial year 2017-18

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has earmarked Rs 535 million for Defence Division for the financial year 2017-18.

According to the Public Sector Development Programme, the government has allocated Rs 500.626 million from its own resources while Rs 34.374 is foreign assistance.

Rs 339.195 have been allocated for ongoing schemes while Rs 195.805 have been earmarked for new programmes. In the ongoing schemes head, Rs 248.695 million have been kept for procurement/construction of six maritime patrol vessels (MPVs) for PMSA while Rs 90.500 million have been dedicated for Water Distribution Network for RCB/CCB based on Khanpur Dam Water Source.

Among the new schemes, Rs 25 million have been earmarked for construction of office complex for survey of Pakistan, Lahore. For establishment of New Generation Geodetic Datum of Pakistan, Rs 38.805 million have been allocated while Rs 100 million have been allocated for procurement of three latest printing machines for modernization of survey of Pakistan.
