Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique chaired a joint meeting of the representatives of Turkish companies and local businessmen at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Dr Mehmat and Unlu Tugral from Turkey, President LCCI Abdul Basit, vice president, secretary and executive members of the chamber and the Focal Person Primary and Secondary Health Deputy Secretary Yadullah also attended the meeting.
The Turk Plast Company made a detailed presentation about the auto-destructive disposable syringes which are being produced in excess in Turkey.
Khawaja Salman Rafique appreciated the Ministry of Health, Turkey for its role in producing a health transformation plan in Punjab and said that in Punjab, the health departments are introducing the use of auto-destructive syringes to check the spread of blood-borne diseases.
Later, the health minister constituted a committee of LCCI and the representatives of Turkish Company to explore joint ventures in the province.
