Resolving farmers’ issues is govt’s priority, says Mirpur district council chairman

MIRPURKHAS: District Council Mirpurkhas Chairman Mir Anwar Talpur has said that it has always been the priority of the Sindh government to resolve the issues of farmers.

He expressed these views during a meeting on Thursday. The meeting was attended by officials of the district administration, irrigation department and farmers in large number.

The district council chairman said that joint efforts of the district administration and elected representatives could help overcome the issue of shortage of water and other issues of farmers.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hussain Memon said that strict action would be taken against the persons involved in water theft from canals.
