Poor sanitary conditions irk Hyderabad’s residents

HYDERABAD: The residents of the different areas of Hyderabad, Qasimabad and Latifabad protested against the poor sanitary condition.

Talking to APP here on Thursday, the protestors expressed their concern over the highly defective sanitary condition of fruit and vegetable markets, roads, streets, hospital areas of Hyderabad.  Citizens have been paying a heavy price as diseases are spreading fast in Hyderabad because the civic authorities have failed to improve sanitary conditions of the city and remove garbage hills from its streets.

The areas of Hyderabad, Qasimabad and Latifabad have been facing difficulties because of garbage and rubbish on the roads. In some places, the covers of manholes are missing.

Protestors were of the view that the heaps of garbage have not been removed from their areas, while the sewerage water was also inundating the main streets and roads. The concerned authorities despite their several complaints have not taken any step in the matter, they said and demanded that the higher authorities take notice of the matter to provide relief to the citizens.

They said that the Sindh government and the elected representatives should realise their responsibility.
