Deputy Chairman Senate says he was target of Mastung blast

Quetta: Suicide bomber targetted me in Mastung, claimed JUI-F leader and Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.

“Such attacks will not shake our courage,” he added while talking to the media in Quetta on Thursday.

Expressing his concern over the incident, he said that everyone knows who the attackers were. He further said, “India has never accepted Pakistan and Indian spies, involved in subversive activities, have been arrested by Pakistani agencies”.

“I will tell India that Pakistan is an atomic power now”, he added.

“I want to tell our enemies that we won’t stop our mission because of cowardly attacks.”

Maulana Haider was targeted in Mastung on May 12, killing 25 civilians. The maulana sustained minor injuries in the blast and was immediately rushed to the Combined Military Hospital.

The incident was condemned by all leaders across the country including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari.
