LAHORE: A woman who was later found out to be a lawyer was shot dead by two unidentified people in Hiran Minar, Sheikhupura.
Alia Shehzadi, was on her way to the local court when she was ambushed and then later shot dead by these people. She lived near the Hiran Minar, Sheikhupura.
The district bar association has announced a strike to protest the killing of this lawyer.
Two months back, a local lawyer, Malik Salem Latif was shot dead near Nankana Sahib in a similar manner, while he was on his way to a local court.
The deceased was a relative of late Nobel laureate Abdus Salam. The murder sparked an outrage in the legal circles and led them to boycott the courts.
