Police detain 3 suspected street criminals

ISLAMABAD: The police, the other day have claimed to have arrested 3 Afghan nationals who were suspected to have been involved in street crimes in the city and the neighbouring Rawalpindi district. The arrests were made by the Sabzi Mandi police and are identified as Taj, Khair Gul, and Rehmat.

Moreover, Shams Colony police have arrested three persons namely Ahsan Abbas, Shafaat Khan, and Arman Baig. The authorities also recovered a kalashinkov, a 223-bore gun, and a pistol from their possession. Sihala police arrested Arshad alias Goga and Sardar for possessing a 30-bore pistol and 457 grammes of hashish respectively.

Furthermore, Golra police arrested robbery suspects Basit and Abdul Jabbar and recovered a mobile phone and Rs58,000  in cash from them. Secretariat police recovered 20 litres of liquor from Munawar Masih.

The police have registered cases against all the suspects. Meanwhile, two cops were arrested after being caught on tape, accepting a bribe.
