LAHORE: A judicial magistrate sent a gang of five girls to jail for a 14-day judicial remand.  The girls have been accused of stealing Rs. 16,000 from a woman’s purse at a shopping mall.

The investigation officer said the accused girls Saima, Shehnaz, Bushra, Maryam and Uzma were relatives and were accused of being involved in many crimes at various shopping malls.

He said the suspects ambushed the victim in such a way that she had no clue she was being robbed.

On the other hand, the counsel argued that the girls were innocent and that this story was being fabricated. According to the reports, complainant Amir Sarwar got an FIR registered alleging that the money was stolen when he along with his sister-in-law was strolling in the shopping mall.

The mall management after taking a look at the CCTV footage, detained the girls and handed them over to the police. The amount was recovered from their possession right there.
