Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a talk with the representatives of different media houses in Beijing, today.
During the talk, he termed the electricity generation from Sahiwal Coal Power Project as a big achievement, and congratulated the nation for it. He said that this project has broken the world-record for the most expeditiously completed project. The news of electricity generation from Sahiwal Coal Power Plant has further made his tour to China worthwhile, he added.
He said that the speed at which the project has been completed and the quality that has been maintained in it is unprecedented. He added that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate the 1320 megawatt Sahiwal Coal Power Project, this month. The chief minister commended the hard work of the Chinese leadership, the high-officials of the Chinese companies working on the project, other workers and the concerned departments of the Punjab government. The CM further said that through this project the load-shedding would decrease by 25 per cent in the region.
The chief minister told the media that this is the first energy project which has been completed on a fast-track basis under the CPEC. He said that all of the CPEC related projects are being completed in a transparent and speedy manner.
He added that supercritical boilers have been installed to the coal plant to protect atmosphere and to maintain international standards in the project. He said that the PML-N leadership has brought the nation the gift of light, adding that the journey towards light is continuing with full speed under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Now the whole nation is watching that the country is moving towards prosperity from darkness due to the vision of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
