Punjab CM orders formation of committee to probe Nankana Sahib child torture incident

NANKANA SAHIB: Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday met the bereaved family of a 13-year-old boy whose hands were cut by an implacable landlady in Nankana Sahib. Sharif gave a cheque worth one million to the victim’s family and announced to provide artificial hand and free education to the sufferer. He has announced the formation of an investigation committee to investigate and provide a detailed report about the incident.

Earlier, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar took suo moto notice of the incident and directed Inspector-General of Police Punjab to present the inquiry report in this regard as early as possible.

It was reported on Tuesday that a landlady had cut the right hand of her teenage domestic employee Muhammad Irfan for not feeding the cattle.

  1. So CM ( Committee Master) is at it again! I hope the cheque he gave to the poor man does not bounce.
