People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Badin on Thursday organised a one-day free camp for the patients of tuberculosis (TB) at the Khalifo Qasim’s Basic Health Unit.
The camp was inaugurated by the PPHI district manager and UC Chairman Khalifo Qasim.
Doctors, including Dr Zakir Khawaja, Dr Muhammad Hassan Soomro and others, treated many patients; and free medicines were provided to the patients.
Meanwhile, the tests of 969 patients were carried out; the cases declared positive were provided with proper medical treatment.
The camp was also visited by PPHI Regional Director PPHI MB Dharejo, and Doctor Waseem-ullah along with PPHI Programme Focal Person Iftikhar Khoso.
While talking to media, Iftikhar Khoso said that his organization has planned to hold camps in the union councils of the district for the financially underprivileged patients, adding that all medicines and tests will be carried out free of cost during the camps. The objective of holding camps in different parts of the district is to facilitate financially underprivileged class, he concluded.
