Youth Forum for Kashmir (YKF), an international Kashmir lobby group, in-collaboration with the department of politics and international relations, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organised a conference, titled ‘Revival of Kashmir conflict in politics of Pakistan’ on Thursday.
Member National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Member National Assembly Jamaat-e-Islami Ayesha Saeed, Member Legislative Assembly Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sehrish Qamar, National Defense University Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan, leader of all parties hurriyat conference, Head of Politics and International Relations Department IIUI Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi spoke on the occasion while Kashmiri-born YFK lobbyist Shaista Safi moderated the conference, said a press release.
Speakers highlighted the affiliation Pakistan had with Kashmir and commitment of people of Kashmir with the ideology of Pakistan. They expressed that people in Kashmir and Pakistan had brotherly ties with one other.
They analysed the situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir after the brutal murder of Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Wani. Participants were of the view that India had lost its grip in Kashmir. They said that school going students and even girls openly protested against Indian brutality in the region.
Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK) is Pakistan’s pro-Kashmir, registered international lobbying group led by young Kashmiris and Pakistanis working to ensure justice to Kashmiris living under Indian-military occupation.
