KHAIRPUR: A two-Day national conference on Sindhi Literature of Three Centuries will be held at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur on May 15.
A meeting of an organising committee of the conference was held at Faculty of Arts and Languages Dean Prof Dr Muhammad Yousuf Khushk on Wednesday.
Dr Shahida Parveen, Dr Mahar Khadim, Ibrahim Khokhar, Dr Allah Wasayo Soomro, Tanveer Muhammadi, Qurban Mangi, Sahib Khan Shaikh, Amar Iqbal, Khawand Dino Larik and others attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Prof Dr Muhammad Yousuf Khushk said that SALU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah will preside over the conference, while Dargah Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai custodian Syed Waqar Hussain Shah Latifi will be the chief guest, on the occasion.
Dr Khushk said that an eminent historian and researcher Prof Dr Ghulam Ali Allana, Dr Abdul Ghaffor Memon, Sindhi Language Authority Chairman Prof Dr Saleem Memon, Dr Ashook Kumar from Lahore, Dr Hakim Ali from Islamabad, Dr Manzoor Ali and others will attend the conference.
All the arrangements were finalised during the meeting.
Different committees were also formed to arrange the conference in a befitting manner.
