KARACHI: Police and law enforcement agencies conducted operations in different areas of Karachi Tuesday night, arresting six suspects.
Two suspects, allegedly associated with a political party, were also arrested from Surjani Town and North Karachi here. Suspects were involved in target killing, extortion, and other serious crimes.
Security officials also arrested four street criminals during search operations in Baldia’s Haji Qasim Colony area and Paposh Nagar.
Weapons were recovered from the suspects, according to the police.
In other incidents, two people died on spot in a hit-and-run accident on Seaview Road near Do Darya when a speeding car hit a motorcycle, running over the two passengers, who died right away.
Police could not identify the dead.
On the other hand, a green bus ticket station near Jama Cloth Market caught fire last night. However, the fire is under control now.
