Lahore National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday arrested Director of Glubeco Private Company Muhammad Murad Arshad, a key suspect in DHA City Housing Society scam.
According to a statement, Murad was among the major signatories to the controversial agreement between DHA administration and Glubeco Private Company, Ltd, whereas, NAB Lahore has already arrested Hammad Arshad, another director of the same company.
The DHA City Housing Scheme scam, that is considered one of the biggest scams that NAB has ever dealt with, involved 10,500 people who applied for the provision of plots and submitted a total of Rs15.6 billion in order to so.
Two accused, in the same case, namely Kamran Kayani and Tariq Siddique have already been declared as “Proclaimed Offenders” by the court, have opted for self-exile. Lahore NAB had earlier approached the Interior Ministry for their arrest through INTERPOL.
Lahore NAB would produce the accused Muhammad Murad Arshad before the Accountability Court tomorrow seeking a physical remand.
