Baahubali 2 good but not as good as ‘92 World Cup final, says Imran

Calling the sequel to the Indian Telugu language blockbuster Baahubali a pretty decent effort, chairman of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan said that it still paled in comparison with the ICC World Cup final of 1992.

“Yes, it was a satisfying conclusion of the saga, and yes, I was one of the many who wanted to find out why Katappa had killed Baahubali, but let’s not get carried away here,” he said, speaking to reporters at an emergency press conference that he had convened on the issue.

“I mean it is a good time-pass, and I won’t say I wasn’t eagerly awaiting the movie to come out, but there is absolutely no way that someone can honestly say that it was even nearly as engaging a watch as the World Cup final in Australia,” he said.

“No comparisons can be made between the two events,” he said. “Except when one does, in fact, make comparisons.”

“The ‘92 World Cup knocked it out of the park, as they say, except quite literally in this case, whereas one has to see if the same is true for Baahubali 2,” he said. “And I have it on good authority that a lot of the things that they show in the movie are not even real. Yes, they have a lot of computer generated imagery in that movie. The party will shortly put out a white paper on the computer graphics involved in the making of the movie.
