KARACHI: Pakistan’s former captain and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram is against drawing a comparison between Imran Khan and Misbahul Haq.
“Imran Khan is my mentor. There is no comparison between Imran Khan and Misbah,” said Wasim Akram while talking at Geo News morning show.
Responding to a questions about his Australian wife and his two sons, the former captain said Shaniera Akram is learning about Pakistani culture, and one of his sons plays rugby in the United States.
“I do support my son, I tell my children nothing could be achieved without hard work.”
Wasim Akram was of the view that Pakistan Super League (PSL) should be played in Pakistan.
Regarded as one of the greatest bowlers of all time, Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be named in an all-time Test World XI to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan stirred a debate last week , terming Misbahul Haq a better captain than Imran Khan.
Khan led Pakistan to its only World Cup victory in 1992 before retirement.
