Complaint filed with police against PM dismissed

 

 

Rawalpindi Civil Lines Police have dismissed a complaint filed against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his alleged involvement in fomenting hatred among people against Pakistan Army and the security forces.

According to media reports, Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmad Mirza on May 3 lodged a complaint with Rawalpindi civil lines police against PM under section 22 (A). Senior Police officers said that the complaint was dismissed because all the allegations leveled against PM through this complaint were found baseless and false during investigation.

Earlier, the police had said to applicant that he should contact FIA in this regard because it fell in the ambit of cyber crime, however, the complainant while rejecting police plea insisted this was a police case and police were bound to register an FIR”.

Applicant further said, ‘If police didn’t register his complaint then he will approach sessions’ court’.

Senior police officials while expressing concern over publication of complaint in newspapers summoned police chowki in charge and reprimanded him on registering complaint against PM in roznamcha.
