Careem driver shot dead in Rawalpindi

A Careem captain was shot dead yesterday early morning in Rawalpindi by unknown individuals.

While the investigations are underway, early reports said that at least four men in Satellite Town area of Rawalpindi tried to snatch a car from Muhammad Waqas, a Careem Captain.

Eyewitnesses said that four men tried to get hold of car, but while resisting the robbery attempt, Waqas was shot dead by the criminals on the spot.

Careem Pakistan confirmed the incident and said that its offers heartfelt condolences to the Late Captain Muhammad Waqas’ family.

The company said that Muhammad Waqas was off-duty and was out on a personal errand when he lost his life during the unforeseen incident.

“May Allah rest the departed soul and grant strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen. We request you all to remember Mr Waqas and his family in your prayers”, said Careem in a statement issued moments ago.
