England beat Ireland by 85 runs in the second one-day international at Lord’s on Sunday to take the two-match series 2-0.
Ireland, set 329 to win in their first ODI at Lord’s, were dismissed for 243, with Captain William Porterfield’s 82 the highest individual score of the match.
England, sent into bat, made 328 for six wickets, with Dublin-born skipper Eoin Morgan, a former Ireland batsman, making 76 on his Middlesex home ground.
Together with Joe Root (73) he put on 140 for the third wicket before Jonny Bairstow’s unbeaten 72 took England past 300.
Friday’s series opener in Bristol saw England win by seven wickets.
