Ban imposed on fireworks, air firing on Shab-e-Barat

The local administration has imposed a ban on the use of fireworks, firecrackers and air firing on the forthcoming Shab-e-Barat festival in Rawalpindi Division.

A ban has also been imposed on the trading of equipment used in fireworks, while cases would also be lodged against people violating the ban.

The authorities were directed to crackdown against anyone involved in smuggling, selling or breaking the law and send the culprits to jail on daily basis.

According to sources, police have started taking action against dealers, involved in the business of fireworks and firecrackers.

Meanwhile, the special security initiatives have been taken. Security in all religious places has also been beefed up to avoid any untoward incident.
