Just a few hours after Shahid Afridi lashed out at the Sindh government for denying him land for building a cricket academy, the legend all-rounder has been assured that his wish will be fulfilled. According to a report, Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar telephoned Afridi and assured him to grant land for his academy. The sports minister asked Afridi to search a ground of his choice and inform the government about it. He added that the Sindh government has also decided to set up a committee that will look after this plans activities and will also finalise the ground.
The sports minister further added that he scheduled to meet with Afridi on Tuesday followed by a press conference.
Afridi claimed that Sindh has a lot of talent that needs to be explored and given chances to show the true potential of sportsmen in Sindh. Afridi said that he intends to build an academy for power hitters for the game under the guidance of foreign coaches.
