FATA Secretariat with the help of security forces has arranged a free medical camp in Borki area of Kurram Agency.
Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan said that doctors of Pakistan Army and Agency Headquarters Hospital Parachinar provided free of cost treatment and medicines to patients who visited the camp, a private news channel reported.
He further said that gynecologist and child specialist were specially invited to the camp. He said that general physicians were also in the camp to provide treatment to the visiting patients, while hepatitis diagnosis facility was also provided.
He said that such camps would also be arranged in other areas of Kurram Agency.
Dr Liaquat Ali at the camp said that many women and children had already visited the medical camp.
“This is a very remote area and people, especially the women and children, face difficulties in reaching to the hospitals. We arranged medical camp here after reports of increasing cases of malaria, typhoid and diarrhoea at the start of summer,” he said.
