KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh AD Khawaja on Wednesday took notice of news published in a section of media about open sale of fireworks within the limits of different police stations in Karachi.
The IGP directed the additional IG Karachi to probe the matter in the light of the published news and furnished a detailed report after completion of inquiry from zonal IGs.
According to the Sindh police spokesperson, the IGP instructed for an impartial inquiry from relevant SSPs. He also issued directives that strict action should be taken against those running this business on special occasions.
