BADIN: The post of Mukhtiarkar and other positions in Revenue Department has been lying vacant, in Badin, for past few weeks.
Residents face difficulties in legal proceedings due to these vacant posts.
Ahmed Khan Soomro, Siddique Panhwar, Ali Nawaz Soomro and others, while expressing a deep concern over these delayed postings, told the media that due to the vacant posts they were unable to produce legal documents of their plots and lands in courts’ proceedings.
“Despite a wait of the entire day, revenue officials didn’t even respond adequately and refused to complete their revenue tasks,” alleged an affected person.
A senior clerk is unofficially serving as a Mukhtiarkar whereas some other main posts at the Deputy Commissioner Secretariat are also lying vacant, concerned citizens apprised media persons.
Civil society’s members demanded an immediate filling of the vacant positions across the district to facilitate public in their legal proceedings.
