SUKKUR: A review meeting of Strengthening of Academic Facilities (SAF) project funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Parveen Shah.
Speaking to the participants of the meeting, Professor Dr Parveen Shah said that this project will be fruitful for providing the academic facilities to the students and teachers of the university.
She said that state of art buildings will be constructed as per master plan. She directed all the stakeholders to complete their construction work as per stipulated time along with quality work and speedy progress.
There will be no compromise on quality construction. The proper monitoring and evaluation system will be observed in this project.
The vice chancellor (VC) directed the consultants and the representatives of the construction firms that there will be no extension date given in this project so follow the time frame strictly.
SAF Project Coordinator Engr Ghulam Asghar Shaikh briefed meeting about the project.
He assured the vice chancellor that the work will be monitored in collaboration with HEC, Islamabad in order to maintain the quality of construction work and transparency.
He said that the PC-I cost of this project is Rs 655.921 Million. He said that the work of the academic block, main gate, and hostel of 200 boys is underway and it will be completed within the given time.
