ISLAMABAD: Riaz Riazuddin on Monday was appointed as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) governor.
Riaz holds position as interim SBP chief after his predecessor Ashraf Mehmood Wathra’s term ended—Ashraf Wathra was appointed as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) governor with effect from April 29, 2014, for a period of 3 years.
Prior to assuming charge as the governor, Riaz has been serving as deputy governor of the bank.
