Local school organises award ceremony in Badin

BADIN: Badin’s Al-Huda Public School on Sunday organised an appreciation ceremony for the children at Al-Abbas Hall Badin. Parents, children, teachers, journalists, and citizens aiming to encourage and appreciate the talented children of the school attended the ceremony.

The guests, including Islamia College Badin Principal Qamar-Zaman Shah,Tanveer Ahmed Arain, Badin Press Club President Imran Ali Shah, Badin Education Taluka Officer Ghulam Mustafa Jamali, Awan-e-Sahafat Senior Vice President Madam Nasreen Saeed, Al-Huda Public School Principal Jawad Saeed, Mohammad Ali Buledi, Professor Haji Ahmed Ghanchi and others honoured the position holders with shields and cash rewards.

School children enthralled the participants by their performances in tableaus, national songs, and speeches.

Holding such events—a dire need of education system—are important for the self-esteem of students, said Qamar-Zaman Shah, while addressing the participants of the appreciation ceremony.

“To appreciate position holders is important along with the provision of quality education,” he said.

It is a prior responsibility of the good teachers that they along with quality education also develop the personality of the children so they could contribute to society in a befitting manner, he said.

Revolution can be brought through quality education, he deplored that yet in modern era thousands of children are out of the schools and many of them are also compelled to work as laborer because of their poverty level that can prove as perilous to the children and their parents, said Imran Shah, another speaker at the ceremony.

Tanveer Ahmed, while addressing the participants, urged the parents to enrol their children in nearby schools and also monitor the education process and provide their feedback to school administrations for the betterment and quality education.

On the occasion, Ghulam Mustafa Jamali, Madam Nasreen Saeed, Jawad Saeed, Ashfaque Ahmed Memon, Professor Haji Ahmed Ghanchi, Muhammad Ali Buledi and others also addressed the participants.
